The 27th edition of Euronaval, held from October 18 to 21 at the traditional Paris-Le Bourget venue, marked the triumphant return of the naval industry, delegations, and sector operators. A particularly significant return after the 2020 edition which, in the midst of the pandemic crisis, had been limited to a virtual and online format with over 10,000 visitors who had explored the exhibition's digital platform.
The 2022 edition once again confirmed itself as a privileged meeting point between the global naval industry and navies from around the world. A full 150 official delegations from France, Europe, and the rest of the world, together with 39 Chiefs of Naval Staff and 22,000 professional visitors, gathered to meet with 450 exhibitors. With 55% of exhibitors coming from Europe and other regions, the event saw the participation of industries and organizations from 30 countries, as well as 12 national pavilions, among which Greece's debut stood out as a novelty.
Posidonia, thanks to its experience in the military sector, took part in the event presenting some of its products, such as a Super Hawk anchor and Dolphin1, a marine rescue drone.
We had the honor of receving the visiting in our stand of Emanuela d'Alessandro, Ambassador of Italy in France, and the Chief of Staff Admiral Pier Federico Bisconti, Deputy Secretary General of Defense and Deputy Director National Armaments. Such as a large number of foreign government delegations.
During the fair, the Embassy hosted Italian companies and Navy delegations at the Italian Embassy in France to foster synergy between the national societies. As our Ambassador rightly stated during the reception, collaboration between Italian companies and our State is now more important than ever.
