Case History

Posidonia Expands Production Capacity with New CNC Milling Machine
At our 6,000 m² facility, Posidonia designs and manufactures anchors, chains, accessories, and deck equipment entirely in-house for the naval, yachting, offshore, and defense sectors. To enhance production efficiency and quality control, we’ve installed a new SELCA 3045 gantry-type CNC milling machine with XYZ axis travel of 3000 x 1000 x 1200 mm.
The machine has already been used to produce shanks for PTW® HHP anchors in Duplex stainless steel, a material with superior performance in marine environments. The PTW® anchor offers a 25% weight reduction compared to traditional mass anchors, improving vessel performance and reducing fuel consumption.
This investment strengthens our commitment to a fully certified (IACS/NAVY), flexible, and custom-tailored offering for the maritime industry.
