What is OMC Med Energy Conference & Exhibition?

OMC organises the Med Energy Conference & Exhibition. The Med Energy Conference and Exhibition is a annual event that draws to Ravenna the major international energy companies, from Europe, Nord Africa and the Middle East.
Next edition will be held from 23 to 25 May 2023. The first OMC edition in 1993 was attended by a few thousands visitors and 55 exhibitors.
In 20 years, OMC reached an important position among the main oil & gas exhibitions and thanks to its presence Ravenna turns every two years into the capital of the energy industry.

500 Ton Pull bench

The most powerful Pull Bench in the Mediterranean.

The main testing structure is the horizontal tensile testing bench (4905 kN) - almost 30 meters long, operated by a hydraulic piston. We call it “Pull bench”. Every year it is calibrated by the "Politecnico di Milano" in presence and with the subsequent approval of the Lloyd's Register of Shipping, the Italian Navy and all other IACS Classification Societies.

The Posidonia staff is also certified to carry out non-destructive testing (NDT)

Socket Replacement

Socket Replacement: Posidonia's Special Procedure.

The socketing service for wire rope involves replacing the cable end not by simply pressing it, but by adding a special resin to its interior.

Posidonia Service is approved by RINA to perform socket replacement.

We can install the Socket on wire rope both at Posidonia, on board or in the shipyard.

We test the anchor again with the relevant IACS certification body

Installation of anchors, chains, and deck equipment

We install all Posidonia anchors, chains with swivels and shackles, as well as deck equipment.
