Repower collaboration
And what else? We need energy, an essential element for industrial production. But our world—and we—want to do our part for a better and more sustainable future. That’s why we turned to those who truly know about clean energy: we teamed up with Repower, a company specialized in energy efficiency solutions.
We are therefore proud to announce that Posidonia has taken a major step towards sustainability by installing a new photovoltaic system, "SOLE", designed for self-producing electricity and reducing the environmental impact of our operations. Built with state-of-the-art technology, the system has a nominal power of 50.16 kWp and represents an effective solution to enhance energy efficiency in our production.
The photovoltaic system was designed to cover a significant portion of Posidonia’s energy needs.
The energy analysis conducted shows a 50% self-consumption rate, meaning circa 27,000 kWh per year are used directly from our photovoltaic production, while the remaining are fed back into the grid. This setup allows Posidonia to cut down on its reliance on conventional energy sources and bring down CO₂ emissions, actively contributing to the energy transition.
Energy Analysis and Tailor-Made Design
The system was designed from scratch, without upgrading a pre-existing structure. The analysis phase took into account several factors, including:
- Historical energy consumption , to estimate real energy needs;
- Local solar irradiation conditionsto calculate optimal production;
- Shading, reflection coefficients, and system losses to maximize efficiency.
Thanks to this meticulous approach, the system was tailor-made for our specific needs, ensuring the best possible performance in terms of energy production and savings.

By partnering with Repower, Posidonia has chosen an innovative and sustainable solution for its energy needs. The "SOLE" photovoltaic system is a strategic investment that not only cuts down operational costs but also promotes cleaner and more responsible production.
